Pretzel Philosophy

I believe you can be happy only after you’ve begun to embrace your flaws. Everyone has them, no matter how perfect other people may seem to you. Every now and then they get to you, and you just have to accept them as actual parts of you. And “you” is something you should always treasure, no matter what.

Throughout your life you’ve made impacts on people, and they’ve made impacts on you. Together you’ve shaped the world that surrounds you, and without you things wouldn’t be like they are now. Every time you’ve made someone smile, you’ve affected their lives positively, given them strength to carry on and without you, they would be so much sadder and weaker. The world would be definitely dimmer.

It is also important to find and acknowledge your good points. Remember every praise you’ve ever gotten, every positive description, and if you doubt them, make real effort to believe in them. Repeat them to yourself whenever you’re feeling blue. Repeat them until you believe in them again and realize that those facts really are the one reality that matters. Your reality. If you don’t believe in yourself, it’s no use how many others believe in you. And if you believe in yourself, there’s no need for others to believe in you, since your own opinion of you is the most important one. It’s your world.
