Hey, remember when I said it's probably just flu? Ahhahhah! Well, it was a virus-rejection combo so magnificent that the whole of Finland hadn't experienced anything like it before. The Chronic Henumiomatosis Inflammation as my dear friend Ambie named it. Or ziisasickness. Yeah, it's still there and since it hasn't shown any major signs of leaving while dropping my vital capacity to one litre, I'm getting ready for my third set of lungs. Oh well, no can do. Sure it's annoying, but there's really no choice than to troop on.

And since I now have to drag Hermanni around (a black oxygen thingie) I can't really party like I planned once I'd get out of the hospital. My energy levels are now as low as in 2010 and because of the 10-week-long-sudden-hospital-period, I'm so sorry darlings, I won't get the Hunter Saga ready for this year's Tracon.

Pretzel Philosophy

I believe you can be happy only after you’ve begun to embrace your flaws. Everyone has them, no matter how perfect other people may seem to you. If you don’t believe in yourself, it’s no use how many others believe in you. And if you believe in yourself, there’s no need for others to believe in you, since your own opinion of you is the most important one. It’s your world.

Standstill

Nothing to report, really.

The nurses take me daily outside in a wheelchair to see the sun. It's so sweet of them and I enjoy it very much. Also today, since it's Mother's Day, we got chocolate cake. It was really delicious~.

I'm very grateful for the friends who have visited/called/messaged me. Thank you, guise. It means a lot to me and always manages to cheer me up!

But seriously, Kirby is so me. All I'm doing at the moment is eating, sleeping, and slaughtering my enemies by puking stars at them. And then eating them.

Good To Know

Still in the hospital. Still unsure of what's really going on. The main suspect at the moment is a virus that has already left the building, but my lungs are still in a bad shape and should be slowly recovering. Slllooooowwwwllly. Also my heart went kinda crazy for a few days. Just taking a dump raised my pulse to 148! Huh... It's better now though, thanks to some beta blocker darlings.

I'm adapting and getting used to being here. The food doesn't bother me that much anymore and also the nurses here are lovely! And I have a room all for myself! It's still pretty boring, but yeah. If anyone of yous random people are around Helsinki, you're most welcome to visit me!

Wait It Out

Today marks full three weeks at the hospital and still no progress.

It's starting to be a little bit boring.

Tampere hospital had way better food than this one in Helsinki where it's mostly served cold and messed up and the breads are all really dry. Helsinki has better beds and prettier rooms, though. I also have a roommate now. She's great but maaaan, she snores! Since yesterday they've been giving some sleeping meds to me so it's alright. Especially since my latest dream involved David Tennant teaching me how to play the saxophone! It was precious.

First Aid

The reason for the lack of posts is my hospitalization. On the 6th day I put my name to a lease and on the same evening this awful fever rose. The next morning I called the doc and she told me to rush to the ER.
My darlin' Karo (at whose place I was staying at the time) waited for the ambulance with me and we were talking about Supernatural and the Winchester family and then the ambulance dudes arrived on the scene and ffffff- the other one looked so much like sweet Dean I couldn't even anything. Also the other nurse was really sparkly too. And they both were really- I mean- I don't- and treated- fangirling- stethoscope- hand holding- sparkles- AFDSg! It was a bliss, the whole trip to hospital was just pure perfection, heeeeeeee~. Ahem. Be cool, Ziisa, be cool...

The former students visited the college last Wednesday. Huhuhu they are epic~! Fun times despite the random shortness of breath I've been experiencing. Oh well, it's probably just related to everyone being down with the flu or something.

It's witch hunting season and I've finally caught up with Grimm! I'm pleasantly surprised by how compelling the series turned out to be, especially now with the recent twists and turns in the plot. Juliette, please just don't freak out and everything's going to be alright and... AND BREE TURNER HOW DARE YOU EVEN EXIST WITH ALL THAT ADORABLE I hate you so much ugh <3

Bi The Way

I found this show called Vikings which is about vikings doing viking stuff. And there's this cool Bjorn Lothbrok kid with this cool hair cut which I just had to get.

On Saturday I went to meet my former class mates from upper secondary school and it was great fun! My friend Pau-Pau I have two Paus as friends so I took some liberties with the nickname OTL made all these delicious pies and salads and I even got to take some home with me <3
Also I finally talked with some of the people I always wanted to get to know while in upper secondary school! *~happiness~*

On Sunday I was at the Tampere Kuplii comic festival. Met more awesome people, exchanged news with Hene & Ambie and sold comics and zombie badges.  My comic, Fall of the Oracle, is released at Tracon 8, 14.-15.9.2013 so be sure to be around Tampere at that time!

What a Weekend

Let's see. I went on a cruise. On the cruise I met Jack Harkness. And, well... y'all know what happens when the Captain says hi to a person! Oh and then there was this random really nice rich human who gave me a makeover and decided to donate me a bunch of really cool stuff like Lady Gaga Fame perfume. Yeah, an average weekend in a life of an average lass... HOW DOES THIS AMAZING BUT WEIRD STUFF KEEP HAPPENIGNKFDSFG TO ME! If anyone of ya people who were involved in that weekend happen to stumble here, I've got one thing to say: "Thank."

Valentine

Have a very happy Valentine's Day! This year I actually didn't wallow in a depressive hatred towards this capitalist nonsense, thanks to my dear friends' party company and some totally awesome valentine's cards I got from my favourite person-who-draws-stuff.

Cupcake Smotheration

Spoiler alert: I'm the annoying fangirl of your life. Yeah, I have a tendency to smother my darling friends and people-who-I-want-to-be-my-friends with food and desserts. Nowadays especially, with cupcakes and muffins. I mean, it's not like it's anything really horrible, right? Right? I'm kinda decent at cooking and baking after all. Which reminds me, oh, Blackworth, how I miss our random show marathons loaded with food and mutant buns... Truly good times? A clue; yes.

Maus

I read Maus by Art Spiegelman as a school assignment thing. It was interesting and somewhat moving. The bad English disturbed me a bit, even though it was probably intentional. The mice were kinda cute in their simpleness. Yay, history stuff! Yeah! So. There's that. It's February~! Which means there'll be lots of comfort food to be consumed, sappy songs to be listened, and cheesy movies to watch. Ohhh and it's time to draw all of the pages of the first volume of The Hunter Saga aka The Fall of the Oracle! (Possible title changes.) Work, workety, werk... PFFFFFT AS IF!

Also on an almost completely unrelated note, I have the best mother in the world~! She's been the biggest support in my life and no matter what different sides of me she finds, I still feel loved and accepted. Mom, if ya read this, I love you and you're beautiful!❤

Motivation

Ahh, I spent the new year's with my friend Pau at her place. We took the two bichon frisés out for a walk and this pup I was walking needed constant cheerleading. That babu is clearly my spirit animal. Anygays we had fun and parties and PS3 and stuff yay Pau is amazing! Also today is my official birthday yayyyy I'm 21!
Legal in the US, huh. If anything I feel even more childlish and crazy~ 8)

Always

When I was younger and sicker I used to feel like eating was a pain in the butt and so much work. Then I got better and poorer and suddenly I love food so much~! I just can't get enough of it and it makes me so happy! Fortunately I have a really swift metabolism (came in the bargain with cystic fibrosis), so eating mountains of greasy sugary treats wouldn't even show. Well, it's not like I have the funds to eat out or even drink milk daily, but yeah. For me, not many things beat the feeling of eating one's fill. If you're coming to my birthday partay next week, want to get something, and have no idea what to give: bring food~

Pastime

Workload

Ughh cleaning ughh. I would not recommend approaching me when I'm tidying up my apartment. I'm much, much worse then than on The Blood Week. This stuff just piles up everywhere. Things that I can't throw away but then they don't fit anywhere and AAGH, RAGE!

Surprise Call

Sometimes when I pick up the phone all I can hear is this little squirrel of a nephew chirping cheerily in Gibberish. It all goes well until there's this tone of a question and I'm supposed to answer some words of wisdom he can quote in his dire times. Not something like "Uh... what? What? I'm sorry, what? Pardon? Uh... yeah... I dunno... um... what did you ask again?" which is the usual case.
Ugh, sorry your aunt is such a pretzel brain, sweetie! I try my best!

Issue

Because, because, you know when someone has really soft looking fluffy curly hair, and it's so irresistibly beautiful you just want to ruffle it and brush it and fill a pillow with it and weave a jumper from it and hide your victims in it! You know the feeling, right? Right? But then you can't do it because the person would be weirded out and that fluffy hair with a being underneath would hate you. THE FRUSTRATION!
